Site Comment Policy

In order to have reasonable discussions in the commentary of my postings, it’s important for everyone to remember that it is rude, ugly, mean, and otherwise inconsistent with commonly-accepted debate technique to “go personal” with individuals, simply because one doesn’t like the direction in which an otherwise reasonable conversation is going.

As such, since this site is a “benevolent dictatorship” and not a “democracy,” as the sole moderator of this site, I reserve the right to modify, delete, hold for moderation, or otherwise deal as necessary with any commentary that I deem unworthy for inclusion in a given commentary thread.

Some individuals may take offense to this policy. My response? That is not my problem. I do not think that such negative perspectives would be given any more credence on any other reputable site on the Internet; why should I have to accept it here? Of course, I don’t need to, and I won’t.

Therefore, those who wish to whine (want some cheese with that?), complain, push back, or otherwise act less than civil with respect to this policy are, by definition, hereby forewarned that I will take any and all actions necessary to make sure that their continued presence does not interrupt the normal flow of conversation on this site.

As always, if you have any questions regarding this policy, feel free to contact me via email at phil [at] therightsideoflife [dot] com.

Thank you,

-Phil
