Grassroots to DC: Can You Hear Us Now?
Regarding Rep. Michelle Bachmann’s (R-MN) put out a call (my link) for a short-notice meet-up today at the Capitol (no, not those protesters that showed up earlier in the day in Sen. Joe Lieberman’s (I-CT) office and were subsequently arrested), a crowd unofficially estimated to be in the five figures showed up today to protest Madame Speaker’s push of healthcare legislation through the House.
The following is a multimedia round-up of today’s activities as I have received them:

have you done ur homework about those two: the obama-cousin capers funnye, the fake racist antisemite co-falled false-rabbi, and obama’s full blood (black) real jewish brother ?
Obama betrays Israel by that. As predicted in the bible. Funny(e), the obots pounce all over “attics and bookmarks” but have clammed up on this one. lost ur tongues, folks ?
big deal about the jews, the “chosen people” hehehe !
but it’s true obama betrays them and israel. It’s by his family, his cousin is antisemitic.
Barack’s the antichrist proven by all the characteristics and descriptions.
By half-brother Mark Okoth Obama Ndesandjo, Obama is a real Jew, but he’s got this cousin who’s a fake cult-Jew.
That’s what the Antichrist is in the Bible: a real Jew who betrays and insults the Jews.
Obama is all the seven hideous heads of the First Beast of the Bible, beginning by the fake Jew, the fake Muslim, the fake Christian, fake Communist, Black Nationalist, Liberation Theologist, Radical etc… Obama is the Antichist-Deceiver.

Orly Taitz is not over folks
Furthermore, do you know that Obama is Jewish through and through ?
This is not going away.
The antics about attic, bookmarks and Congress-Nathan Deal are so mental intellectually-lame that it’s sick.
Let’s get down to the basics of Judeo-Christians.
Obama is a Jew, and indicated by the Marks of the Beast 666 777 9 on election day.
But he’s also an insult to Jews by his racist black cousin Capers Funnye. What does the Bible say ? “The Antichrist will deceive and insult the Jews.” Obama’s been there, done that.
http://www.oilforimmigration.org/facts/?p=4259
You people will have to unravel this. One real Jewish half-bro, and one fake racist black so-called “Jewish”, in fact a cultist-cousin: Capers Funnye.
Stay close to me I’ll show the way through this mess.
Phil, you owe me one on this.
We can get paid for this?
Cool!
You guys in the UK have never answered someone’s question about how you get paid by Soros. Is it by the word, by the comment, or by how much disinformation you put out? Enquiring minds would like to know.

Black Lion, why don’t you guys make up your minds? I thought these events were sponsored by big business. Or was it Republicans? Or was it astroturf by the evil bankers? Or was it Rush Limbaugh? Or maybe it was Glenn Beck? Now it’s the insurance companies?

MGB, I would have to say it is a combination, or in words you like a conspiracy of all the groups you mentioned….
Astroturf In Action: Right-Wing Billionaire David Koch Pays For 40 Buses To Haul In Protesters
Americans for Prosperity (AFP), the corporate front group founded in the 1980s by Koch Industries billionaire David Koch, worked closely with Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) to orchestrate the anti-health reform rally today. As ThinkProgress reported yesterday, AFP has been encouraging right-wing activists to board their buses — free of charge — to attend the rally. While AFP does not disclose all of its corporate donors, foundations controlled by David and Charles Koch provide millions in yearly funding, and David continues to chair the AFP foundation and preside over AFP’s annual convention.
ThinkProgress found at least a dozen AFP staffers standing at their designated bus drop off point near the Capitol, handing out signs, directions, talking points, petitions, and donuts to protesters. Many of the people who work at AFP are longtime Republican operatives, like Ben Marchi, the AFP Virginia director who previously worked for the National Republican Congressional Committee and for Rep. Tom Delay (R-TX). Victor Zapanta produced this video report of AFP staffers talking about their exploits at the rally today:

New polls showing support for the Public Option
US: Health Care (CNN 10/30-11/1)
Now thinking specifically about the health insurance plans available to most Americans, would you favor or oppose creating a public health insurance option administered by the federal government that would compete with plans offered by private health insurance companies?
55% Favor, 44% Oppose
And:
US: National Survey (Ipsos 10/29-11/1)
Creation of a public entity to directly compete with existing health insurance companies.
51% Favor, 43% Oppose
MGB:
Actually…. no, I don’t. Black Lion does not appear to have any Aides “jumping ship.” So the paraphrase seems rather… inappropriate.
See how that works?
More about the so called GOP plan…
“House Republican leaders have produced their own health care reform bill. Here is the first thing you need to know: It would do almost nothing to reduce the scandalously high number of Americans who have no insurance. And it makes only a token stab at slowing the relentlessly rising costs of medical care.”
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/06/opinion/06fri1.html?_r=1&8dpc
Companes that have ensorsed medical reform…
http://www.speaker.gov/newsroom/reports?id=0263
American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) on their support:
“The House bill takes a number of steps to improve health care for cancer patients and their families by refocusing the system to emphasize prevention, ending the practice of denying coverage because of pre-existing conditions, limiting the cost burden on families by providing care that covers more and costs less and emphasizing patients’ quality of life.”
AMA….
“Dr. J. James Rohack, president of the AMA, said the bill was not perfect but was consistent with the group’s principles for healthcare reform in expanding medical coverage to the uninsured. The group urged passage of the healthcare overhaul in the House along with passage of another bill that would prevent deep cuts in payments to physicians under the Medicare program for the elderly.”
I guess the infamous GOP “big tent” is not as welcoming anymore?
“Asked if he’d be comfortable with Republican candidates in 2010 who supported President Obama’s stimulus package, or his push to overhaul health care, Steele said: “Well I’m gonna tell you honestly, that’s where the line gets a little bit tricky. And you saw in the House and in the Senate that there are ramifications, because that goes against a core principle. And trust me, you’re assuming that people want to have bloated debt, government expenditures and growth into their lives — they don’t. That’s a talking point out of the DNC.”
“People aren’t buying that. So candidates who live in moderate to slightly liberal districts have got to walk a little bit carefully here, because you do not want to put yourself in a position where you’re crossing that line on conservative principles, fiscal principles, because we’ll come after you.”
http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2009/11/05/2120550.aspx
Let’s be honest:
“A progressive Democratic House member, speaking on the condition of anonymity, suggested that Black Lion’s views — and his willingness to state them — make it hard for him to have much credibility. ‘When your captain’s crazy, it’s time to find a new ship,’ the lawmaker said.”
See how that works?
From what little coverage that the event got, it was reported by a “reputable” broadcast news network that there were 50,000 people there. I saw an overhead shot of the crowd and that looks to be a good and fair estimate.
But True Believers can and will believe whatever they want to believe and they WILL disseminate disinformation because they believe in their heart of hearts that We the People are stupid. But sadly for them, we’re not.
Black Lion, why don’t you guys make up your minds? I thought these events were sponsored by big business. Or was it Republicans? Or was it astroturf by the evil bankers? Or was it Rush Limbaugh? Or maybe it was Glenn Beck? Now it’s the insurance companies?
Who sponsored the left-wing protesters who got arrested outside of Joe Lieberman’s office? Was that your boss Soros? Or was it ACORN or the SEIU? Who’s going to point out the difference between the disruptive leftists versus the peaceful House Party protesters?
Please, lay off your meme about Bachmann. Can’t you be more inventive?
Is EVERY person with whom you guys disagree (GWB, Palin, Bachmann, Quayle, et al) stupid? A loon?
We have heard it all before. All these personal attacks, always questioning in one way or another the intelligence of people who don’t see things the way that you do.
Why? Because you guys CANNOT argue with the facts; all that’s left for you to do is to attack the messenger.
Let’s be honest. It is the medical insurance companies sponsering these so called “rallies” and donating huge sums to the GOP and the so called “blue dog” Democrats in order to kill the healthcare reform. Let us be honest. We know why would the healthcare industry doesn’t want a government option for coverage. It would force preminums down and prevent them from just dropping you if you became to expensive to insure. So of course they are going to do what it take to kill this bill. If it means making stuff up about socialism and creating stories likening it to Nazi Germany, they are going to do that.
What is funny is that the AMA, that represents actual doctors and the AARP that represent older Americans have both endorsed this plan. Common sense or logic would dictate that maybe the this bill is not as bad as the GOP has been telling me it is. However we know that because it was something put forth by President Obama and the Democratic Party, it is automatically something that is bad. Simply amazing.

Michelle Bachmann, if she is a front person of the GOP’s war against the healthcare reform, she should at least be right about a couple of things first…
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/personalities/michele-bachmann/statements/
And Bachmann is so out there some people in her own party are not big fans of hers…
“A conservative Republican House member, speaking on the condition of anonymity, suggested that Bachmann’s views — and her willingness to state them — make it hard for her to keep staff. “When your captain’s crazy, it’s time to find a new ship,” the lawmaker said.”
http://dumpbachmann.blogspot.com/
Interesting, the so called left is trying to reform health care and Bachmann, who is a loon, tries to coordinate a rally against it? That so called crown would probably be lucky if it exceede 5,000. And what does the so called right and the GOP give us with their proposal. A pan that the non partisan CBO finds a lot of faults with…
From the article…
“But the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office found an odd feature in the 230-page bill: Coverage would be more expensive for older people and folks who are sick. And it would not bar insurers from excluding preexisting conditions.”
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2009/11/06/2009-11-06_on_sick_list_elderly_and_the_ill_pay_more_under_gop_health_care_reform_bill.html
So basicall we would have a bill that allows the insurance companies to continue with business as usual. Business as usual is rational health care. If the Obama plan is socialism, then what is the GOP plan. Social Darwinism? Only the young and the people who are not sick can get coverage, but if you need it too bad? As usual the GOP is out to protect the people most important to them, and that is big business….
siseduermapierda,
Apparently, you’re one of those readers who doesn’t actually click on any of the referenced links, because other sites have reported unofficial figures.
If it walks like a Marxist and talks like a Marxist, it’s probably a Marxist. There’s nothing classier in my view than pointing out the truth.
Oh, but aren’t you just waxing so self-righteous. Please. Politicians will do whatever they can to attract votes, and that’s true of anyone, especially in D.C.
One observation: notice that it’s the American Left that always makes it a point to point out someone’s race, gender and age as opposed to merely stating that we are all Americans.

No one reported “five figures” Phil. “Thousands” was reported not “tens of thousands”, but good parse. And next time, if they’re gonna make a point of saying the Pledge of Allegiance, make sure the guy leading it actually knows it. I especially liked the huge posters of piles of dead bodies at Dachau labeled as Health Care. Oh, and more of those Obama-as-the-joker posters. Stay classy teabaggers! Shame on Boehner and Cantor for being out there. It just shows the Republicans are so desperate for votes next year that they pander to this very narrow segment of Americans. Look at your own pictures, not a non-white face in any of them. All White, mostly Overweight, Over-50. Generally representative of what you’d guess is left of the Republican Party
Thank God for people as John Voight . It takes alot of guts to come out of the Obama loving Hollywood to speak out against this president and his zars and this goverment as it is right now. Thank you John and the other congressmen who are standing up for what is right.
