Activism Alert: Contact Congress Now to Vote No on Stimulus
Welcome to The Right Side of Life’s first “Action Alert!” If you’re reading my blog, you obviously have at least a passing interest in the goings-on of today’s politics.
For those of you who are American citizens (especially those ex-pats living overseas that visit this site), now is the time to get your voice heard.
As I’ve documented here and here, the President’s stimulus plan as it stands right now is really nothing more than a boondoggle of government largesse and waste. Think about it this way: if the typical contractor includes 10% of the project as waste and/or overruns, and let’s say that the final bill is $900 billion, that means at the very least there will be a bare minimum of $90 billion in waste, just off the top – and that assumes all the rest of the bill is legitimate!
Just say no. But, you have got to say no. Consider this admonition from AmericasRight.com as well as these helpful links from InvestigatingObama:

Update: At least one Democrat, Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-PA), Chair of the Financial Services subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance and Government Sponsored Enterprises, is beginning to question the President’s stimulus plan.

I predict another “stimulus package” will surface at the “satisfaction” of the “republicans”.
Make no mistake. Any “stimulus” package is merely a smoke screen covering the big picture. No package will right the wrong.
Any partisan people on here will be led to believe this is all for the “good of the people”. Heed the warning. Nothing will protect us from the financial ruin we must brave as a nation without nonsense from the government which contributed to this fiasco.

Many of us now realize that to return power back to We The People we must UNITE the various groups and organizations across the internet and establish a secure network where we can work collaboratively with each other to take coordinated action.
We can not be successful in the plan to form a United Coalition unless everyone donates their time and talent to this Unification effort.
Please support this effort by donating your talent and time to this cause. We must lay the proper foundation to advance this movement and to do this, we need to perform important research. This must be done to avoid chaos and to attract other groups to this so we can start taking coordinated action.

Many members have already volunteered to help and if more of you donate your time, we can have the new United Coalition site populated by the end of the week.
Select a How To or Issue to research. This task will take only about 1 hour of your time and will take a huge burden of of me and free up my time to start getting group leaders together which is currently happening. I will be on Chalice’s radio show tomorrow talking more about the Coalition.
Again, several large groups have already committed to joining the Coalition. Finally all the talk about Unification is actually starting to happen and then we can all start collaborating and planning and implementing our strategies on the secure software platform.

I have decided to add an addendum to the above post. This is the sort of letter that is hammered out when one is “snowed in” AGAIN! as I am in Ohio. We have already exceeded on Jan. 28 our average snowfall for THE SEASON! Coincidentally, this is the same day that Mr. Alphonse Gore has decided to TESTIFY about his “global warming” theory. It is the same day that 24 Americans have died because of snow, ice, accident, power outage; etc related to above. We will be seeing 0 to -10 degree weather here tonight. So my next letter will be to Mr. Alphonse Gore, who lives in a home in TN, that is bigger than our largest mall in Toledo Oh; and has been put on record as complaining about his “high utility bills.” So. Mr. Alphonse Gore, please stick it up your petard.

I am writing to address a matter of urgent importance, that of the integrity of our voter system in this country.
Concerns have arisen the last few years, and especially in 2008, regarding ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, and groups similar. Allegations of fraudulent registrations have run rampant, with reportedly little quality control. In states with no photo identification law, fraudulent votes are nearly impossible to detect. Once a fraudulent voter leaves the polling place or casts an absentee ballot, that vote is almost always thrown in immediately with other secret ballots, with no way to trace.
With the recent announcement that the proposed trillion dollar spending bill could open billions of taxpayer dollars to groups such as ACORN, it is even more imperative that activities of these groups be placed under a strict magnifying glass. One of the states most in the news in Election 2008 regarding issues with ACORN was Ohio. Their activities reported by the media were most troubling and worrisome. I personally witnessed the following on national television:
1. An interview of a gentlemen, on camera in person, reporting in exchange for cigarettes, ACORN had given him 76 voter registration forms.
2. An ACORN employee stating on camera in person, that she worked on commission and was paid according to the number of electors she registered.
3. An ACORN employee stating on camera in person, that she had directed her registrants to vote, in a partisan manner, for Mr. Obama.
The mantra for these groups, and all electors, should be “one person, one vote.” Jimmy Carter, in his book “Turning Point”, recognized two civil rights issues here: the civil right to vote, and the civil right to be protected from voter fraud.
_____________as one of your constituents, I am therefore asking you to do the following:
Call on President Obama to immediately take action to investigate the possible criminal activity and unlawful use of taxpayer funds by ACORN and groups similar.
Call on the Attorney General to investigate voter registration programs such as ACORN and their possible fraudulent activities.
Direct the Secretary of Housing & Urban Development to conduct an audit of tax money acquired by ACORN and groups similar.
______________, whether you agree or not with the decision of Bush v. Gore; it is an undisputed fact the 2000 presidential election was determined by little over 500 votes. It is therefore even more imperative given this fact to ensure the “one person, one vote” ideology.

For the ACORN part, I believe the dollar amount comes out to something like $4 billion for “community projects” or some such innocuously-sounding name.

This document is 757 pages long. He’s also got something in there to help organizations like ACORN. Just what we need: more ACORN canvassers passing out cigarettes on the street corner in exchange for votes. Notice I didn’t say REGISTRATION, I said VOTES. I still have that video of the ACORN representative telling a man in Ohio to vote for BO.
