It is the job of SCOTUS to affirm or deny lower court rulings. After all, the point of _not_ having "legislation from the bench" is that SCOTUS was only every tasked with interpreting the Constitution, not making up new laws. It’s not the job of SCOTUS to “take people out,” as it were. It is the job of SCOTUS to affirm or deny lower court rulings.
After all, the point of _not_ having “legislation from the bench” is that SCOTUS was only every tasked with interpreting the Constitution, not making up new laws.
