Domestic Troop Deployment by 2011?

Submitted by Phil on Mon, Dec 1, 20085 Comments

I had originally reported here on Obama’s Civilian National Security Force and Rahm Emanuel on plans for compulsory civil defense service. But now the Pentagon is reporting that they want to begin the process of deploying 20,000 troops “to help state and local officials respond to terror or nuclear attacks and emergencies.”

Naturally, there may be some issues regarding the Posse Comitatus Act, a 130-year-old law restricting the military’s role in domestic law enforcement.

Here’s a link list for your “holding the government accountable” enjoyment:

Here is my fundamental question with issues like this: Whatever happened to the Second Amendment? Isn’t the individual’s right to keep and bear arms (along with the inherent right to organize into militias, such as the Georgia State Defense Force or even the National Guard) a basic principle upon which such issues should be based?

How often do you think that a potential perpetrator of heinous acts is going to attack an individual or group of individuals if it were highly likely that said individual(s) may be carrying?

Think about it.

Didn’t I read somewhere that Bush did away with the Posse Comitatus Act??

It appears that our “elected officials” are very quickly acting to adjust the Constitution to their liking and to employ forces to make sure that the people comply with their adjustments.

There can almost be no question any longer that our elected officials have ceased to abide by their oaths of office whether that be of a deliberate individual choice or by mutual group think polution.

It is time to take very seriously our own very personal safety and security and to quickly become members if we already arent of those groups which still exist, or form groups ourselves now, to promote these values as our freedom from oppression is fundamental. They are more or less showing their hand now that -all bets are off. Don’t fear it-act.

    Phil,

I could not agree with you more. I’ve been snooping around my state trying to find some upstanding unorganized militia groups, but no luck so far. Unfortunately Americans (me included) have been indoctrinated into thinking someone else is going to take care of us. When, in reality, our personal safety has and always will be our own responsibility. May the Lord (and our personal weapons) protect us in the perilous times to come.
