Blog Update: Milestone Reached, Enhancements, Election Coverage

Submitted by Phil on Tue, Oct 28, 2008No Comment

From 25-Oct-2008 to today, therightsideoflife.com has had nearly 1,000 unique visitors and nearly 2,000 page hits! Thanks so much for your helping to make that happen!

Also, the two posts on this site that have, by far, received the most number of hits include API Alleges MO Tapes Reveal Upcoming Connection: Africa, Iran, Venezuela and Concerned Citizens Should Pursue Legal Action in Their Respective States (on these two posts, I join the blogosphere in continuing to monitor their progress and will report here when and if things change).

According to my stats, I have seen folks come in from all over the world: the Middle East, Japan, South America, the UK, Canada, [Europe!] and, of course, throughout the United States (including .mil and .gov top-level domains).

Features that I’ve added thus far to the site include the following:

  • ShareThis: A third-party plugin that allows for any given post, page or RSS feed to be sent to another email, IM or top social networking site
  • Popular Posts listing: Added to the home page, tracking up to the second who’s reading what
  • Similar Posts listing: Added to individual post pages, should hopefully make it easier for you to see like-minded postings
  • Anonymous comments: I’ve opened up all posts for anonymous commenting (for those who are shy!)
  • More to come!

And since we here in America vote a week from today (woo-hoo!), I am intending to bring coverage of the tallies and interesting stories, likely in the form of a posting that is regularly updated as results come in.

Thanks again for visiting this site. It’s exciting to see that other folks share the same enthusiasm for great content and hot topics; I hope to keep it up!

-Phil
